Slow Yoga Class
Do you ever want to ground yourself? No, really! To just send yourself to your room without dinner, devices, or distractions? Okay, maybe with dinner, or at least chocolate! In adulthood, this is probably as close as you’re going to get! Ground yourself with a low flow class designed to help you disconnect so you can reconnect. From this intention and energy based movement, we will slowly transition into the stillness and tranquility of an extended Yoga Nidra meditation in which you can fully unwind and release...finding yourself blissfully grounded. *Chocolate included.
Scottie's Flow & Slow classes combine energy-based flowing sequences and the stillness of Yoga Nidra. The Flow works with energy, the elements, and intention to bring your body, mind, and breath into balance. We then Slow into stillness with a Yoga Nidra practice that offers you a space to relax and let go. It's a practice that invites you to connect with your inner energy and intention, to explore the present moment, and to be open and receptive to whatever you find there.
Scottie Bruch lives on a ranch on the edge of the Black Hills, the same one on which she was born and raised. Her chosen career path has been that of a school librarian and coach, which she loves, but her true passion is in teaching yoga and planning/hosting yoga events. Scottie operates Sturgis Yoga, hosts women's retreats and other special events, and is the co-organizer of the SD Yoga Conference. Her main training has been with JJ Gormley of Surya Chandra Healing Yoga School, and her teachings are inspired by the principles of yoga therapy, energetic systems, and experiential freedom. She loves offering whatever is speaking to her heart and presently that is gentle, intentional, energetic movements (Nyasa) coupled with Yoga Nidra. In her spare time, Scottie loves to adventure around the world with her husband and their two boys.
